Fr. George Niravath, Pala
Fr. George was born on 22nd June 1942, as the son of Esthappan and Mariyamma of Niravath family. He completed his schooling from Palakkappalli, Vayala, and Marangattupally. In 1960, he joined the seminary to become a priest of Pala diocese. He was ordained by Bishop Mar Sebastian Vayalil on 19th December 1969. He served as assistant vicar in Kanjirathanam and Bharananganam parishes; as vicar in Nellappara, Shantipuram (Peruva), Kanjiramattam, Mattakkara, Poonjar, Elanji Forane Church, Mannappara (Kuruppumthara), and Teekoy Forane Church. He is now serving as the vicar of St. Mary’s Church, Plashanal.
